The Reblog Monster

My worst days are when I forget to shampoo or put on mascara and there are people around who cause insecure feelings. My alright days are when I take the time to primp all the way and get compliments. “You look pretty today” actually means “You remembered to put on make-up today! Good for you.” How do I know that? I only get compliments on the days I wear the make-up. My best days are when I don’t bother to do any of that but use products and clothes that make me feel clean, healthy, and comfortable, and I’m in situations that encourage my comfort. These days are rare, but I might be having one today. We’ll see.

My real question is, though, is that how dudes feel every day? Can they dress in ways they want to and wash their face without obsessing over discolorations or shadows? Does their self-confidence depend more on their strengths than their appearances?

If so, sign me up for gender therapy pronto, I’m switchin’ teams, goddammit.
